Nearly There

Working on the last scene in the last chapter of Billionaire's Pilot. Not quite at the required word count yet for this one, but I know I need to fill in a few scenes throughout the book, so I'm not worried about that.

I'm really excited to finish this one and pitch to Megan Long from Harlequin at Chicago's Spring Fling Conference at the end of April. And I'm looking forward to sitting behind the book signing table to autograph my newest release on April 25, Baltimore Heat!!!

Alpha Scents

When writing descriptions, it's important to include all the senses. Perhaps one of the most challenging senses to portray with the written word is the sense of smell.

I try to give each of my characters a signature scent. Some heroines sport a fruity shampoo scent while others smell like exotic flowers. For the men, I like spicy, clean scents, but I can't have all my alpha heroes smelling the same.

So I was glad to see the Tweet today from Men's Health magazine that pointed to a list of six colognes for athletes - Smells Like Team Spirit. I love the description of the first one on the list, Burberry Sport for Men. "It's a fierce fragrance for an alpha male."

I think I know what my next hero will smell like!
